The Iain Rennie Hospice

Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care (IRGH) is a charity providing specialist 24/7 hospice at home care for adults and children with a life-limiting illness in Bucks and Herts, plus day hospice care in Dacorum, St Albans and Harpenden.  Our nurses work closely with other healthcare professionals, striving to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions and to ensure co-ordinated care and a seamless service of the highest standard possible.

We supplement specialist nursing care with input from a broad range of clinicians, therapists and trained volunteers to ensure our service is tailored to individual patients and families.  We strive to meet their physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs following diagnosis, during the illness and through bereavement.

All our services are provided at no cost to the patient or their family and IRGH relies heavily on public support to fund over 85% of the £6.5million we need each year to reach all the families that need our help.

Can you help?
We need to increase our income by 10% to meet the growing demand for our service.

  • Over 1,500 volunteers already save us £1million each year.  Could you join our team?
  • Our shops and other retail schemes raise around £1million each year.  Please keep donating good quality items for us to sell in our 17 shops and in our eBay store.
  • We rely on your generosity: could you consider making a gift in your Will, taking part in one of our fundraising events, setting up a direct debit to IRGH or seeking sponsorship for your own personal challenge?
